Large Scale Renovation Work Begins at Auburn Aquarium


Large scale construction work has begun in Auburn Hills Mall aquarium which is going to make it the biggest marine exhibit in Michigan. It features different varieties of creatures including sharks, stingrays and puffer fish. There are thirty tanks at Auburn aquarium which includes 1.5 lakh gallons of water. Renovation work on Auburn Hills Mall aquarium had been underway since June. Guests at Auburn marine exhibition center will get a chance to view fabulous marine creatures. Construction work at Auburn aquarium is undertaken by UK based Merlin Entertainments. It is learnt that Auburn Hills Mall aquarium will charge admission fees and will be open by next spring. Construction work at Auburn will cost an estimated figure of $8 million and it will employ around forty people.
It is expected that opening up of Auburn marine exhibit will give a revitalized outlook to Michigan tourism industry. Fish pond at Auburn will include a large tropical ocean tank and walk-through underwater tunnel. Shrimp, sea horses, sharks, rays, and starfish are other marine attractions of this popular Detroit fishbowl. Auburn sea life center provides feeding demonstrations and educational presentations about marine life. Auburn aquatic center highlights the works of Merlin’s charity, Sea Life Marine Conservation Trust too.
